Activities and Achievements

 

CCSA Activities and Achievements/Spring 2009-2010

 

  1. Promoting GUST fresh graduates to CCSA corporate partners and other companies / institutions in the private and public sectors.
  2. Following up with all unemployed graduates is an on ongoing process to provide them with necessary assistance in finding a proper career.
  3. Managing Alumni and Employers' Databases.
  4. Administering Alumni and Employers' Surveys.
  5. The following seminars and career events were held:
    • November 24th, 2008: Manpower and Government Reconstructing Program (MGRP) held a workshop on: “How Students Can Explore Their Future in the Private Sector.”
    • November 26th, 2008: BNP Paribas (Sweden) promoted their international competition “Ace Manager.” 250 students participated in the competition and gained fruitful experience.
    • April 22nd, 2009: MGRP held a workshop on: “How to Prepare Résumés and Win Interviews.”
    • April 29-30th, 2009: the 5th Spring Career Fair was organized. 41 companies participated.
    • May 7th, 2009: Kuwait Small Projects Development Company (KSPDC) held a seminar on: “How Small Projects are Holding-Up in the Financial Crisis.”
    • July 5th - 9th and October 4th - 8th, 2009: Two certified training programs titled: “Chartered International Project Managers” (ChIPM) were held – free of charge – to GUST Alumni, in cooperation with AAIM International for Consulting and Training. The courses were fully sponsored by Kuwait National Offset Company. 52 of GUST Alumni participated. All participants passed the exam and are now internationally certified.
       
  6. Coordinated the Practicum in Business and MIS course and GUST Internship program.
